Dedication
December · Word of the Month
This month we are learning about DEDICATION! Dedication means sticking with something, even when it's hard or you don't feel like it — like coming to class even on a tired day. Let's look back on everything your child has worked on this year!
🎯 What is dedication?
Dedication means sticking with something even on the days it's hard — like coming to Taekwondo class even when you're a little tired. It's how small tries, done over and over, turn into big achievements.
📖 Examples of dedication for this age
- ●Going to class even when you're tired
- ●Practicing even on days you don't feel like it
- ●Finishing something you started
- ●Trying again the next day after a hard day
💬 Try asking your child
- ●What have you worked hard at this year?
- ●What is a goal you have for next year?
- ●What helps you keep going when you don't feel like practicing?
💡 Try This At Home
End the year by looking back together at how far your child has come — a photo, a belt, a memory from January. Dedication is easiest to see in hindsight, and naming it builds pride.
"I keep going, even on hard days!" Look back together at one thing your child stuck with this year.
